Patrick writes, "I am thinking on getting a deck bag for the stuff I usually keep drybag I usually keep in the cockpit and kneetubes. Anyone have a brand they can recommend. I am looking for something that has a low profile that won't interfere with compass reading, rolling, paddling etc.?" This is an observation, not a recommendation, but the new Prijon catalog has an interesting multi-function (listening Ralph?)deckbag/drybag/paddlefloat that looks very interesting. Not big by deckbag standards, but it seems well thought out and not a bad little widget to have on the deck. Cost is (from memory, which isn't good) is somewhere in the $30s.
