Sorry, Doug.

I chose you because I thought it quite obvious I was kidding... I would
think almost everyone here would recognize that.

Perhaps not.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad
move.

Not that it really matters, but I just wanted to say that you can't
attribute me with having said anything about shooting a flare at a pesty
PWC operator. I did say in a recent post that one should shoot a flare
off as a precautionary, proactive maneuver. And I specifically added
"not at the jetskier".

Just wanted to clarify.

Sorry back, Ken. Just didn't want folks thinking I was a red neck! Didn't
realize you were just kidding around -- hey, isn't that usually my line. 8-).

Anyway, I would be tempted to chuck my half dozen el cheepo "Skyblazers"
amongst any marauding PWC morons harassing me on the water. Half of the flares
usually do work, and I'll bet they would make way more sparks getting sucked
through the impeller blades than _acorns_ ever would... "Honest Judge, my
flares slipped out of my hands from the perpetrators malicious wake. It was
the deceased fault he sucked them through the engine and blew himself up
alerting authorities with the giant fireball."
