I understand your wish for others to learn but please do not forward writings from others to PaddleWise without their permission (paraphrasing is ok). It is a violation of list policy, and in some areas, it is a violation of copyright law. I don't know where this message originated but by forwarding it to this list, the writer may possibly have a claim of monetary loss if he had intended to sell his story to a publisher that will now not accept the story because it has been posted to a world-wide forum (or, because it may be dissected, re-dissected, analyzed, re-analyzed, and finally, its ashes scattered at sea 8-}. Even if the message/article is posted to rec.boats.paddle, do not forward it to this list without the author's permission. The article will have to be removed from the PaddleWise archives (this will take some doing). I notice, Fernando, that you have a website. If you are comfortable with taking that risk, next time, you might set up a web page on your website and publish the unauthorized reproduction at your site and send the URL to PaddleWise. I really hate to be hard-nosed about this folks, but it's my neck, my pocketbook, and our list that could disappear as a result. If I don't make some effort at prohibiting unauthorized forwarding of original materials, then I can be held accountable (as well as the individual doing the unauthorized forwarding).
