I ran into Mike Falconeri over the weekend, and got to talk with him for a while. As of yesterday (Monday), he's in New York Harbor, and headed towards Connecticut. He's in good spirits (But then again, he always is), and is looking forward to finishing and coming home. He had to take a couple of days off to repair his boat, as he wore the gelcoat clean off the keel at the bow of his Nordkapp, and had a couple of other cracks in the hull that were of concern that needed to be fixed. He said he's ending the journey in Portland, Maine. I asked him why not continue on to Eastport, at the Canadian border, and his reply was "I'll leave that for the next guy".
