I started out in an Aquaterra Sea Lion, replaced it with a used early model fiberglass Sealution (leaky hatches, flat afterdeck), and replaced that with my current boat, a 1995 Nigel Dennis Romany Explorer, which I am still very happy with. I've test-paddled some other nice boats, but not nice enough for me to give up the Romany. My wife loves her 1995 Romany 16; it is the only kayak she has ever owned.
