Hello, I am possibly going to the SF Bay area in June...if my work schedule permits it. I have a pygmy Coho, and am what I refer to as an intermediate paddler. I am 50, look and feel about 40, and am fairly active...for a 40 year old. I may have a pygmy Artic Tern by then also...perhaps. My roll is fair but not foolproof, by swimming and self rescue skills are fine, and my main concern is to paddle down there and have a nice relaxing time. When it is easy, I do like roll practice. Not that the rest of this matters, but: I don't smoke, am liberal in my politics, don't do drugs or weapons but also don't preach. Have a DVM degree. Am open to most any interesting paddle, but am not a strong surfer.... Wouldn't mind a little catch and release fishing. Like many paddlers, am environmentally involved... Wouldn't mind some camping, but where I stay isn't that important to me...camping suggestions for paddling areas are welcomed. Coast or bay or a great lake ... any such places are fine. Am most interested in good paddling partners...easy going, skilled to some degree, or I will go out with less skilled persons if we go somewhere appropriate to your skills. I am somewhat safety minded...both yours and mine. Suggestions welcomed... thanks, Michael Orchard Vancouver, Washington 360 944-9964 *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
