For anyone not interested in the technical discussion on paddling, I would suggest not reading. Please don't insult the participants by insinuating that those who are interested in the discussion can't enjoy paddling simply because you don't understand their conversation. It's rude and usually results in premature end of the discussion (which is usually the complainer's intent). You want to discuss something else, then introduce a subject about paddling that you enjoy. I don't know squat about flying a space ship but I'll bet all the tech talk among the astronauts doesn't diminish their total pleasure in the trip. If I were to be lucky enough to be along for the trip with them, the talk would never bore me as I would be in too much awe of my surroundings. To each his own.
