I've paddled with SKI, and used that paddle, and it's neither super light
nor super buoyant.Disappointly heavy in fact. I pawned it off on the
beginner in our group who didn't know any better and used one of the
wooden Greenland paddles they provided, which are carved by a guy on Elba.

I agree, though that a carbon/Kevlar version might be highly neat.
