I had a favorite aunt who moved to a nursing home after a fall and a hip fracture at the age of 90. She virtually never left the home, but listened to the weather report each morning, and could provide a recap at any time of the day. She dressed for dinner each night --- a nicely coordinated outfit that she could have worn in the best restaurants in town. She was not old. She was getting older all the time, but she was never old.
