What was interesting was that we were able to educate him in many things as well...all these kayaks on the water are still relatively new. >> Last summer CPA (known high and wide for being safety freaks) at Pier 7 got a visit from an AUX member. He came by one day when either I was alone or with only one or two others and I suggested that he might want to come back on a Wed. when most of the members where there. I let him do his inspection of my boat and was given a clean bill of safety or whatever it is. He seemed quite impressed with the safety gear fetish I seemed to be infected with and returned a couple of Wednesdays later. When he returned a couple of Wednesdays later, I suspect he got more education on the issues of kayak safety than he even though could exist. He talked with one of our strongest safety proponents and others passed through the conversation. We can both be educated by them and educate them too. It is a very harmonious relationship of people/groups dedicated to safe uses of the water.
