I am using WebDB from Extropia.com - Unix based, can upload and download text files from the browser. It's a cgi program - either perl or C.. I've only tested the document manager for the City of Port Townsend website. It has one resolution uploaded in Word regarding the dining hall at Fort Worden. The url is http://www.viewit.com/cgi-bin/webdb/doc_manager.cgi. Feel free to try uploading a document. You might need a password - just create an account. Another application can be seen on the Canoe Magazine website (canoekayak.com) - find Advertisor Links and click. It's done in Excel, uploaded, but can also be added too from a browser. Is that what you meant? Most good Unix servers will let you have a cgi-bin.
