Probably the best thing most people can do for New York (apart from giving blood!!) is to stay out of the city and let the emergency response teams continue to get on with their job without distractions for a couple of days. Most fellow New York business people, with whom I have spoken in the last few hours, will send at most skeleton crews in tomorrow and possibly for the rest of the week. My offices are in the Empire State Building and most of us will work from our homes outside of Manhattan as of tomorrow -- the first plane, apparently navigating down Fifth Avenue, flew directly overhead on its way to the impact -- we'll be happy to stay away for a few days. Best regards, Ralph (safely back in Stamford CT after a grim day in the City) Ralph C.
