The migrating monarchs mentioned by Mike are truely amazing. Even more so when you realize that it is not a learned route. It takes 2-5 generations of butterflies to make the migration!! Somehow that route map has to be preprogrammed?? Those along the eastern part of the continent end up in Mexico while those along the western side end up in California. They humble those of us who set destinations and revel in journeys.
