The Colorado below Laughlin is all pretty nice desert paddling. Current helps down-river miles but there aren't any exciting bits. Some stretches are rather ditchified, running between dykes that limit the view, but there are some great vistas. Topock Gorge, between Topock (about 10 miles below Needles) and Lake Havasu, is particularly spectacular and makes a good one-way day paddle. It is a Nature Preserve, so there is no camping in that area. I've done that paddle many times and am still looking forward to taking a group through there in a couple weeks. Weather is hot to warm days with warm nights for a bit longer, cooling down to great days and cool nights in November. Thundershowers are a possibility this time of year.
