[Paddlewise] Heavy Duty Sprayskirts

Dear Friends:

First, thanks to those who sent advice re: plastic doubles. I may have
more questions later.

Second, I have had a Snapdragon sprayskirt, the all-neoprene model for
about a year or so, and it is already showing signs of wear (we do paddle a
lot, 2-3 times a week). (When I wrote Snapdragon, they wrote back
"hopefully you are not practicing rescues and bring boats up onto your
deck, that will kill any neoprene skirt quick." Well, I do practice
rescues. The skirt fits me and the boat well, so my conclusion is that I
simply need a more heavy duty skirt.

Snapdragon has a kevlar-reinforced model at
http://www.snapdragondesign.com/images/products/exp_ww_kevlar.jpg. They
say it is for whitewater but there seems to be no reason I could not use it
my NDK Explorer. They don't seem to have a similar ocean model.

Also, this Bomber Gear skirt looks pretty heavy duty as well.

And here is the Whetstone kevlar
skirt.

Any opinions?
