Speaking of illusions, I was paddling in the Gordon River (South West
Tasmania). The water is fairly brackish and I was paddling along beside some
limestone cliffs which are sheer for about a hundred feet. The water is
mirror calm and the reflections are mirror perfect.

I happened to look over the side of the kayak into the water and all I saw
was a hundred foot cliff in perfect detail. My brain went into a total spin
because all of a sudden I felt like I was actually laying sideways in the
water and looking up when my brain knew I was upright and looking down. If
that makes sense!! Any way I nearly tipped the kayak over trying to right
myself. That was one strange experience.

And one of the funniest things I have seen was walking into the local
library and seeing hundreds of Penguin Jumpers hanging up on display. Hmmmm
maybe it's the water we drink in OZ Peter???
Cheers
Wilky
