A few months ago two new rescue books were reviewed here. I saved
Steve Cramer's review of "Sea Kayak Rescue: The definitive guide
to modern reentry and recovery techniques", by Roger Schumann and
Jan Shriner, 2001, but I can't remember what the other one was.

With Christmas coming up, I was looking for some gift ideas. Does
anyone remember what the other book was, and does anyone have any
opinions on them?

Thanks,
John

John Lull's Sea Kayaking Safety and Rescue. Wilderness Press.

In a nutshell, Roger and Jan's book is focused solely on R&R, John's book is
more of a broad picture look at the sport of sea kayaking with safety AND
rescue as a focus. Both are excellent reads and one could easily justify
owning both! I do, but then again, I own a paddlesport shop and run a
PaddleSport instruction center! ;-)

You can find PaddleWise reviews/discussions for both books (as well as
