Regarding the re-entry and roll with the paddle float, you may not need a full roll, but I think some of you rollers think it is easier than it is. You still need a pretty good hip snap or the float will just sink. What the float mostly does, IMO, is elimenate the technique problems with surface angle on the paddle.
