I FINALLY found a PFD that fits short, pudgy women The ladies' ones I've tried so far have been too tight. Also, the neoprene shoulder straps are still too long on some of them. It's a Stohlquist - check out their site...these are made for women. Moderate reflective tape. One adjustable side strap and another that goes up, down, and around (not a good explanation, I'm afraid). It has the wide armholes for easy mobility and also makes it less bulky, which is good for taking with the folding kayak. I got the Betsea (because that's what they showed me) but see there's an mOcean that has an additional bellowed pocked. I've emailed them that i want to exchange...a large extra pocket is worth $25 more. They show 3 models ranging $100 - 125. Best of all, their neoprene shoulder straps have an adjustable strap sewed onto them so I can really get it to snug down. This is the first ever PFD that felt that it was the right size. Of course, it doesn't do a THING for me from the aesthetic point of view!! :( sandy kramer miami *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). I'll second that. After years of wearing poor fitting PFD's my wife finally bought a Bettie. She loves it. She is short waisted and this is low profile enough that it isn't into her chin. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I don't give a damn for a man who can spell a word only one way.
