I have an Aleut not the Kodiak so I can't help with problems specific to the Kodiak. You will find that if you assemble the kayak and leave it assembled for a few weeks the parts take a set and assembly and disassembly become easier. Folbot also has a silicon spray which I think is included with its new boats or you can order it from their site. Use the spray on any parts which slide together especially around the holes where the cross frames lock into the long pieces. Also spray inside the hull before you insert the frame halves. Feel free to e-mail me directly with any questions if you wish.
