Pat, I think we are both still simmering over this, and the best advice I got from the group was to go paddling tomorrow. The temperature high here is supposed to be 62 degrees tomorrow (72 degrees in Miami) , but I may force myself. I apologize for quoting anyone about doing any physical harm to anyone. In this case, the community association has been supportive so far. On the night your van was ticketed, you were tired when you arrived, the kayak was visible, and it just didn't occur to us that a one night visit would be a problem. I own a single-family home with a large yard. Someone walked up to the front porch in the middle of the night and unplugged the small refrigerator you had inside your van. You could have had medicines requiring refrigeration. That's the part that bothered me. If it's too cold to paddle tomorrow, I'll work on building racks inside my garage for the 3 kayaks that are hidden there.
