Also available in NZ are inflatable penguins so it is not unusual to see a penguin in a Penguin in a shop. Max (the designer) was at one sea kayak forum with the inflated penguin on the aft deck of his kayak. They are not fairy / little blue penguins we comonly paddle with but the larger emperor(?) penguin. (Might even remember to check exactly which breed they are). The inflatables would be at least 3 foot high.
