> How many people take there dogs paddling with them. > I take my dogs canoeing, but not kayaking. Picture the Titantic scene where the guy is up on the bow, arms spread, face to the wind.... that's my dogs. The only problem I have is that they keep jumping into the water to chase ducks. It's a lot of fun, though. I take them out on Lamb's Creek (where I live) which empties into the Poquoson River, which runs for a mile or so more until it empties into the Cheseapeake Bay. And like your dog, if I walk over to the racks, they get stone still like a statue to see which boat I'm going after. If I uncover the kayak, the dogs go back to whatever they were doing, but if I uncover the canoe, they go wild barking and jumping up and down. It pains me to get them all excited and leave them behind sometimes, but I do.
