Two years ago I built a strip built kayak using a John Winters design and Nick Shade's book. The book was invaluable as was John's advice. There is information on several websites which was useful as well. I would have to check my records retrieve the URLs. If you are interested in a strip built boat I'd be happy to discuss what worked for me and what didn't. You are welcome to come see the final result, or perhaps we could get together and paddle one day.
