Rob,

See, I got you again 'cause you're wrong on this one too.

Anyone who knows me will readily attest to the incontrovertible _fact_ that
I am unathletic, unskilled and basically a coward...

Opportunity is the big one. I can be on Puget Sound geared up and paddling
my touring boat in 45min and on an excellent whitewater run in 35min in the
opposite direction. Unfortunately, neither of these have sunk their hooks
into me like surfing so I have to drive a _minimum_ of 100 miles one way to
the closest break. I shouldn't complain, after all I could be stuck in
Kansas or somewhere equally hellish ;->

Still, may be it's for the best. With my obsessive personality, if I lived
on the NorCal coast or some such place, I'd probably be athletic, skilled,
full of guts and...

...unemployed, broke, divorced, and so on and on.

Best,

Thomas
