[Paddlewise] safety nazis (was sad news...)

Kevin,
         As a first year paddler, reading "Deep Trouble" by Matt Broze and 
George Gronseth was a real eye-opener. Since then I do everything possible 
to avoid getting caught in a dangerous situation.
