Right!! And solo too... ;-) Has anyone ever tried to weigh all of their safety gear? PFD, knife, VHF, sea sock, float bags (while inflated), etc... I bet it's not light. On a slightly related topic, I was lucky enough to see some of Harvey Golden's photos from the Greenland national kayak championships 2000. He showed one picture of the only Brit to make the competition. I was quite amused to learn that he isn't allowed on any BCU trips because of his unapproved paddle. Clearly it must be safety risk... <smirk> Cheers, kevin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Federici" <fedo_at_hudsonet.com> Subject: RE: [Paddlewise] Safety, Safety, Safety > Reading all these posts on the subject makes me want to run out and > paddle without my PFD. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
