"In Pennsylvania, the eight-foot Good Hope Dam on Conodoguinet Creek met its demise in the Fall." The civil engineer who designed the removal is my little daughter, Sarah Davis (now Cope). She designed about 8 dam removals. Four were completed before she left the PA Fish and Boat Commission and Pennsylvania in August. I've enjoyed kayaking down a few of Pennsylvania's rivers with her and hearing about dam broaching.
