Hey Mike!

How kind of you to spend so much finger power explaining all of this to me.
I read your mail thoroughly and will save it. Thank you! But you must
understand one thing. Not all fears are rational, and my disconfort with
wet-exits is one of these. I've never been entrapped, and don't consciously
fear it. Think of a phobic with a fear of heights.

All the more reason to work on my roll!

Can you swim? (Not dog paddle)

Fears that aren't rational probably have a somewhat rational reason for
existing. It's spiders with me. We had those huge wolfe spiders in MO
when I was a small boy and my Mom was afraid of them. Spiders also are
a very, evil looking predator that kills things many times there size.
They are all about biting, you coud say. I have found that
contemplating the semi-rational base for the fear, over the years, has
greatly deminished my fear of spiders, and similar crawly bugs.
