G'Day, Many thanks to all who helped with practical and theoretical advice on my bad forward sweep. This weekend was able to confirm some of the observations for myself and came to a few conclusions of my own. In windless, currentless conditions managed 50 to 80 degree turns with a reduction in forward speed of very roughly 4 to 2 knots. Not very smooth yet, need lots more practise, only tipped over twice!
