Scott, I'm leery of attaching anything to my PFD, as I mentioned in an earlier post. The bag idea sounds good but I worry about the line attaching it to the PFD. I've had trouble with lines in general when trying a paddlefloat re-entry. Twice I've become entangled in lines connecting paddle and paddlefloat to my boat and PFD, so much so that I couldn't get back into the boat without either cutting or unhooking the line. This is not what I want to be doing in 50 degree water when time in the water is crucial. My suggestion is that you experiment with this setup before venturing out and possibly finding that it could be a hindrance instead of "life saver".
