G'Day, Well I don't know whats happening to my wordprocessor but the missing sentence was: - "From the news clip the kayak looked like a TK1, which is a "tippy" racing sit in river kayak, but I'm not sure. " What do you think Peter (Rattenbury) did it look like a TK1 to you? It had a rounded hull and I could imagine a grazing shark might have twisted it as reported. By the way the kayaker said the shark felt slimy. I thought sharks had rough abrasive skins which raised scratches. Guess it depends on the shark. Then again it was the Parramatta river, slime wouldn't be too suprising :~) All the best, PeterO (Who is getting serious about buying a sail for his kayak and has insured his boat against shark attack with "The National Roads and Motorists Association" *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
