[Paddlewise] Anyone try soaking their pool skirt with Sodium Thiosulphate?

Does it work? Is it cost effective? I ask because my "neoprene" spray skirt
fizzes like an Alka Seltzer; clearly air--and I assume water--permeates the
skirt. After use in the pool, I'm thinking about soaking the skirt in a bucket
of tap water and a does of Sodium Thiosulphate--osmotic treatment and
neutralization of the chlorine. Any opinions?

Thanks,

Craig
