Hello, I feel pretty weird posting to this list as I am in no way a paddler - at least not yet! I am a late starter to say the least and have only recently had my first sea paddle as a 41 year old mother of four. Needless to say I am now hooked - as my special friend and paddlewiser, knew I would be - hi Melissa :-) I am posting here in the hope that I might find some sea paddlers from anywhere in my area in NZ. I am in Oamaru and would be really interested in making contact with anyone from the Timaru,Oamaru, Dunedin areas (or even Christchurch/Banks Peninsula as I have family in that area) I would also be really interested in hearing from anyone in these areas who has made or is making their own kayak. I have no idea how many avid but not-yet-paddlers you have on your list, and I do feel rather out of place, but I am enjoying reading my Paddlewise mail and I suspect I am here to stay! Many thanks!
