Here in MN it's not just the price of registration and a decal. In MN you have to pay the applicable "Sales Tax" on the purchase of the boat at the time you register it, IF, you do not have a receipt showing sales tax paid in another state. Even if you paid sales tax in another state, if it wasn't as much as MN's, YOU HAVE TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE! It would definitely pay to check around on that state of registration.
