The Current would be the first choice for its clear, pristine waters and the sites to explore along the river. Since it is fed by springs, the water level should be adequate any time. We've done the river in three sections of two to three days each, but this could be combined for a longer trip. The upper portion would be the most scenic since the river becomes fairly slow and wide, albeit beautiful, below Van Buren, MO.
