Lucy,
I don't know if you are aware of this resource but National Geographic
puts out special maps of PWS and Kenai Fjords. The maps are based on topo
maps (scale 1: 105,600) and contains such useful information as "Kayak
Landing Beach" and trails. I found them to be a great resource for trip
planning.
The maps are also waterproof and tear resistant. the titles are National
Geographic Maps, Trails Illustrated series, Prince William Sound - West
(761) , Prince William Sound - East (?) and Kenai Fjords National Park
(231). The web site listed is www.nationalgeographic.com I got my
copies($9.95) at R.E.I.
Hope this helps.

Bob

Lucy,
o by the way there was a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in the middle of Prince
William Sound yesterday and researchers predict more 5s in the future. Happy
paddling.
