I took the "baklava" reference at face value. With its blend of simple and complex carbohydrates and fats (honey, filo and nuts, respectively), baklava is the original Power Bar. The high caloric content definitely will keep you warm. As to wearing it on your head, I conjectured that the speaker was a wearer of facial hair. Whenever someone helpfully points out that there's stuff in my beard, my practiced reply is, "I know, I'm just saving it for later." It might even survive a quick roll.
