Rick and others, "Freestanding" may be a slight misnomer in the case of the Eureka tent you looked at and the Coleman Peak1 I have because both come with a set of tent pegs so you can nail the thing to the ground if you suspect windy conditions. The other style of tent (non-freestanding) requires tent pegs to keep it up.
