Oh, good question!  Next, you'll be asking me what I want to be when I grow up  :-)

Let's see, my initial reaction is "somewhere exotic".  So, what's exotic?  It's probably that which one is not familiar with.  Therefore, the flat, comparativley warm and shallow waters of the Cheseapeake Bay are not exotic *to me* because I grew up (well, grew older, anyway) here.  However, the cold, glaciered, ice-berged waters of someplace like Alaska are exotic and appealing to me, becasue it's different and I've never been there.  If I lived in Alaska, perhaps where I am in the Cheseapeake Bay would be considered exotic and this is where I'd choose.

But if it were strictly a business decision...... I'd find out where there were heavy concentrations of paddlers and inadequate suppliers and instructors, and cross that to places where paddling was possible for the majority of the year if not the entire year, and where the area were experiencing growth and had a good economic foundation and take a good hard look at that location.  

The business decision above is based on an unemotional evaluation of where to go.  Throw in the emotional side, and I'd have to consider where I'd want my kids to grow up and proximity to family and the whole equation gets much more complex.   

So, where would I go?  Cheeze, who knows!  Your hurting my brain!  :-)
