The Grand Canyon Private Boaters Association has settled their lawsuit with the Park Service. Good news is there may be more private permits available. They will be releasing some of the unused commercial days for use by private boaters. Park Service still has to go through the River Management Plan. http://www.gcpba.org/pubs/newswire/display.php3?id=281 Sounds like commercial trips are not fully booked so there may be good prices. Now if you want to talk about waste management issues imagine 16 people for 21 days in 100+ degree heat.
