Amie and I are going to this get together next month in Charleston SC
and I just got the registration package.

I'm considering a few masters classes and wonder about the advanced
rolling course given by the Killens. Has anyone taken this course?
Specifically, does it include hand rolls or just paddle rolls?

Mike

PS the others I'm going to try for a surfing (Foster) and traditional
paddling (Molina).

I haven't taken a course from Ray and Margaret Killen but I've paddled with
them informally and Ray did teach me a couple of different rolls. In case
it isn't obvious in the registration package, they're likely going to be
teaching the course using a traditional greenland paddle. I've seen both
of them handroll, and roll with a throwing stick, so they probably *could*
teach hand rolls, but the makeup of the rest of the class would probably
dictate whether or not they're actually taught. They might also teach a
balance brace.
