I use Nalgene 96 oz. soft carriers. I've found them to be strong and do not leak. The advantage of these is that they also fit my water purifier. They do come in smaller sizes. You can freeze them to provide a cold pack for and food stuff you carry that needs to be kept cold. When they melt you now have your water. They fold up real well when your done.
