G'Day,

Q1.	A friend has badly scratched his linear polymer kayak in a forced
landing on an oyster covered rock. Its aesthetic only but he's a navy man
and takes great pride in his boat. Can any one advise how to repair such
scratches?

Q2.	The waste water tube from my hand pump passes from the cockpit through
the day hatch and the seal around the tube is starting to leak slightly. The
seal looks like some kind of resin built up around the base of the tube. Can
anyone advise how to waterproof or replace it? Is there a water proof paint
or treatment that would be appropriate?

Neither of us owns a dog so can't try having it lick the seal or the
scratch:~)

All best wishes for the holiday, PeterO
