I thought Sealskin waterproof gloves might be an effective addition to my collection of gloves and pogies. They weren't. In 40 F weather I was warmer bare-handed. REI graciously took them back. The sox are still the cat's something under neo booties.

Fleece or wool liners under dishwashing rubber gloves are good low-budget alternative, though would be messy if you went extravehicular.
