G'Day and Thanks Jennifer, Joe, John & Shawn, Q1. Scratched linear polymer boat Looks like P sticks or P Tex is the way to go - and seems as if color matching might be necessary to get the most satisfactory finish. John your offer was very generous, but my mate is occasionally known as "Rocky 2" for his addiction to gauntlets so he better get a supply of sticks in - do you have the names of some suppliers? Is P Tex the same as a P stick? and thanks Peter for the leak suggestions Q2. Leaky bulkhead through which a pump outlet passes I've put a temporary silastic coating over the leak but when it fails as it inevitably will I'll follow your advice to cut back the support fibreglass and use Sikaflex. Is Sikaflex widely available? I'm not sure what it is! In the newest Pittarak the day hatch has been reduced so the hand pump outlet does go through the deck above the cockpit. Putting the pump outlet in the deck above the cockpit is a good idea but cutting more holes in the boat doesn't appeal and the older cockpit style drains very easily when inverted on the water. I've got an electric pump which works very well (and allows me to go on NSWSKC trips) but its nice to have a backup if it fails. Your point is well taken about the handpump being a useful option for someone else to pump out the boat.
