Dave asked: I have a friend down in Tampa who is interested in getting some recommendations for kayaking lessons in the region. I actually had a couple classes from Russell and Jean from Sweetwater Kayaks in of all places, Orcas Island, WA.They often travel and teach nationally with the BCU regime, which is how I met with them. I would vouch for them as they are as good of instructors as they are paddlers. (That's not as easy as it sounds.) I think Sweetwater is in the Tampa area. On the personal side of things they are thoroughly cool people to hang around.
