Hi Scott, I finally managed to get Brigitte and a map of Alaska at the same
time!
She paddled with a woman called Paddy, running kayak tours using
Feathercraft boats between the Afognak island and Shuyak island (if I spellt
them right). On the map, it looks like your back yard.
For the anecdote, couple of years later, Brigitte and I were waiting (for
hours) for a ship in Puerto Montt in Chile to head south. Sitting on our
rucksacks sort of counting our feet for something to do, we saw two pairs of
boots stop in front of us and someone said Hi! It was paddy and a friend,
complete with kayaks and taking the same boat as us.
