Hi all!
Our first ever event is upcoming on May 11th, 2002. The first Ride the Tide
event will take place in Lower Debert, Colchester County (Exit 12 from
Highway 104), and will be a trip down the Debert River, followed by a trip
back up the river on the 50 foot Bay of Fundy tide!
Depart from the Debert Beach Road put in any time after 9am, travel to the
Bay of Fundy, and play in the mud channels at the mouth of the river. The
adventurous will want to get into the haystacks (vertical waves generated by
confused water).
Please note! ALL kayakers must meet legal safety requirements, and will be
responsible for their own actions. This is not a guided tour or organized
event. It is an opportunity to paddle! Cost: NOTHING! FREE COFFEE at the
Masstown Market Restaurant after the paddle! :)
