rob, what a salient argument.  seriously.  i'm not using it to determine 
when i should wear a PFD, but it is a good argument.

i float like a sponge.  seriously.  i've done it in an unheated (about 
60-degree) pool, too.  yes, i exhaled.  still float.  still wear the PFD; 
not willing to say what % of the time due to fear of flames,
